Moonhaven — Show

I Directed this entire piece, and edited it, for a section of AMC’s Moonhaven TV series Season 1, Episode 2, where the brief was to show the capabilities of “IO” a super advanced technology that was used on the Moon and was the only way to save back the Earth from its full destruction.

I used a mix of live-action and CG to tell this portion of the story.

Client: AMC.     Studio: Tendril.     Role: Director. Editor.

Some of my favourite moments from the live-action that I put together. I wanted to show a contrast of hope looking at the moon as the only way to survive. Showing that getting out of the planet to run from the chaos and destruction that was happening on Earth was the only salvation, creating a bridge between both the Moon and the Earth. Leaving was the only option to bring back the new learnings from the Moon through this technology called IO that was implemented on the Moon's surface to save the Earth and bring it back to what it once was.

The Landscape

The concept behind this was to create a visual journey where we lead the viewers on a path of exploration in this imaginary world. We explored a few different routes within this world as you will see.

IO _ The Moon

We looked at different ways to represent IO being implemented on the surface of the Moon in a stylized way.
